ATARI JAGUAR
The Atari Jaguar console had a small library of games due to its short life span. The console was not considered successful, but there was a handful of hidden gems available for the Atari Jaguar. If you are lucky enough to own an Atari Jaguar, these would be the games that Gaming Palooza Empire recommends that you purchase.
SHOOTER/BULLET HELL
Tempest 2000 - This would probably be the premier shooter for Atari Jaguar and one of the best games on the Atari Jaguar. The game was praised for its 3D graphics and gameplay.
SPORTS
BRUTAL SPORTS FOOTBALL - Long before NFL Blitz existed, there was Brutal Sports Football. The only console version of this game exists on Atari Jaguar. The graphics and gameplay is solid, and quite fun. The game also had blood and lots of violence!
NBA JAM - Most of you have played NBA Jam before, either on Genesis or Super Nintendo. Great game, but have you ever played NBA Jam with 64-Bit power? Do the math! The Atari Jaguar version of this game, believe it or not, is more close to the arcade version than any other console version.
PLATFORMER
RAYMAN - Little do some gamers know, Rayman was originally developed first, before any other version existed. Rayman is probably considered the premier platformer on the Atari Jaguar. This is one of the games that helped distinctly separate the Atari Jaguar from the Super Nintendo and Genesis.
STRADEGY
WORMS - The Atari Jaguar version of Worms has wonderfully fun gameplay and beautiful graphics. The animation is very smooth. If you own an Atari Jaguar, this would have to look into purchasing.
FIRST PERSON SHOOTER
WOLFENSTEIN 3D - We cannot discuss Atari Jaguar hidden gems without mentioning this absolutely awesome version of Wolfenstein 3D. The graphics are amazing! The game plays well and its one of the best Atari Jaguar games to exist.
ALIEN VS PREDATOR - An Atari Jaguar exclusive that kicked ass! You could play as one of three characters: an Alien, a Predator, or Private Lance Lewis of the Colonial Marines. There is different goals for each character you play, which gives the game great replay value.
